PERKESO 24-Hour Protection Scheme – What It Means for Employees

The 24-Hour Protection Scheme, also known as the Non-Work Related Injury Scheme (SKBBK), is Malaysia’s latest social protection scheme that provides 24-hour coverage to formal employees, including foreign workers, even outside working hours, during holidays, or while commuting daily.
Contributions for the 24-Hour Protection Scheme will be fully borne by employees, and the employee contribution rate will be implemented in stages starting from 1 June 2026.
